Winter break workshops are back and better than ever! After a full year of experimenting with new structures, menus, and class themes, we are proud to say we’ve perfected our curriculum and are beyond thrilled to release our most innovative and exciting programs to date!

For families looking to keep their kiddo busy, engaged and learning this winter break, our culinary camp programs are sure to satisfy.

All Winter Break Workshops are offered as 3 hour classes from 9:00am – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00pm – 4:00 p.m., with lunch and activities between the morning and afternoon sessions.

Tuesday AM – Burgers and Fries 101 

In our Burgers and Fries 101 workshop, campers will learn all the tricks of the trade when it comes to homemade burger buns, patties, fries, and even condiments – all made completely from scratch! 

Tuesday PM – Yule Log

Campers will learn to make, bake, shape and decorate our signature double chocolate yule log, with various edible woodland decorations. Whether your child is looking for a chocolatey challenge or is simply here to eat, this workshop is sure to satisfy. 

Wednesday AM – Terrific Tacos

First we will master homemade corn tortillas, the base of our tacos. From there, we will focus on preparing our citrusy slaw and lime crema, and last we’ll tackle the most delicious black bean filling. This is one spec-taco-lar workshop you won’t want to miss!

Wednesday PM – Snow Globe Sugar Cookies

Inspired by the beauty and magic of snow globes, Rooks to Cooks is excited to offer our innovative snow globe sugar cookie workshop! These cookies are not just beautiful to look at, they’re functional too! Give ‘em a shake and get mesmerized by the snowy sprinkles that move between the candy glass, just like a real snow globe.

Thursday AM – Spectacular Sushi 

Campers will learn all the tricks of the trade when it comes to preparing sushi – how to make the perfect sushi rice through hands-on experience of washing, drying, cooking and seasoning their rice. From there our sushi chefs in training will prepare a tasty teriyaki sauce completely from scratch, and practice their knife skills through the preparation of a variety of different fillings for their maki. Last they will rock and roll their maki before finally ending off with our signature miso soup! Our mouths are watering already. 

Thursday PM – Snowman Cake Pops

Do you want to build a snowman? In this workshop, campers will learn a wide variety of cake making, baking, and decorating techniques as they prepare our signature snowman cake pops from start to finish. You’re not going to want to miss out on these adorable and delicious winter inspired creations!

Friday AM – Perfecting Pasta

In Perfecting Pasta, we’ll be covering all our pasta bases as we prepare an epic line up of pasta recipes that will make a true Nonna proud. We’ll tackle fresh pasta, the creamiest cheesiest baked macaroni and an elegant basil ricotta ravioli, handmade to perfection, and serve everything up just in time for lunch. After participating in this workshop, the pastabilities are endless!

Friday PM - Holiday inspired Macarons

Our marvelous macaron workshop is back, but this time with a holiday twist! Who can resist these beautiful and popular French sandwich cookies? The recipes featured in this workshop includes both our nut-free macaron shells and TWO delicious holiday inspired fillings the whole family will enjoy.
