Creative Cooks Sweet & Savoury is the perfect program for young chefs who have a passion for both the culinary and pastry arts. In this unique camp, participants will blur the lines between sweet and savory, learning advanced techniques in both fields while building the confidence and self-sufficiency needed to shine in the kitchen.

In the mornings, we will prepare 2-3 savoury recipes, focusing on seasonal ingredients, savoury cooking techniques, and foundational culinary theory. The afternoons will be spent delving into the sweet side of life as we strictly focus on pastry preparation, satisfying their sweet tooth. Throughout the week, campers will expand their palates and explore new flavors, guided by expert chefs who provide personalized instruction and support.

What makes this program unique is the addition of daily technical challenges and cooking competitions, providing our campers the chance to be creative, trust their instincts, and put their newfound skills to the test. Guided by our expert chefs, each challenge is a stepping stone to building upon their confidence and skill sets in both the pastry and culinary arts, helping them achieve new heights in and out of the kitchen. 

By the end of the week, campers will leave with a wealth of new knowledge and skills, 20+ recipes to add to their repertoire, and most importantly, they will leave inspired, empowered, and more confident in their ability to achieve success in and out of the kitchen.

            To teach campers a balance of culinary and pastry skills while boosting their confidence both in and out of the kitchen. By completing this program, campers will gain the knowledge and ability to prepare a wide variety of recipes and feel empowered to cook with independence and creativity.

These activities offer campers the opportunity to unleash their creativity, rely on their instincts, and apply their newly acquired skills in exciting ways. Under the guidance of our expert chefs, each challenge acts as a vital step in enhancing their confidence and skill sets across both pastry and culinary arts. This approach not only elevates their cooking abilities but also contributes to their overall personal growth, both inside and outside the kitchen.

            This program is all about blurring the lines between pastry and cooking, and capitalizing on the benefits of learning both fields. Your multi-talented chef-to-be will learn both cooking and pastry theory and gain experience in both areas. In the mornings, we will prepare 2-3 savoury recipes, focusing on savoury cooking techniques and foundational culinary theory. While in the afternoons, we will change gears and strictly focus on pastry preparation, satisfying their sweet tooth.
